Matthew has been using his clicking, and is very curious about what is around him. He tells his friends that he can tell the difference between a chainlink fence and a solid wood one. He really likes the idea that he can do that! I would love for him to use it more and I am encouraging him to do so. Since we left you in Kelowna, there has been NO MORE SIGHTED GUIDE in our family! Matthew still tries, but I think more out of habit. Clement learned alot too. He was really thankful to me for taking him to see you. He is such an independent young man already, and meeting you just gave him some new skills to work with. I think it is good that Clement and Matthew are friends because Clement tends to tell Matthew to "do it by yourself". He is an independence pusher! It was a great time to come to the workshop for Clement as he is starting highschool this year and he told me that he is already using his echolocation to find his way around the highschool. I really hope that we do keep in touch. I am going to try to push/encourage Vancouver or Surrey (the city that we live in) to have a workshop with you here again. I would love to have you come and work with Matthew once a year like Trisha does with Justin. I am going to try to look into some kind of funding for that. You are a very inspiring person Daniel. I am glad to have met you and want to thank you for taking the time to teach Matthew and Clement. I do hope our paths cross again. Please let me know if you come out to Canada again so that we may try to meet up with you again! Thank you Daniel, Tracey From: "Clement ... Subject: Re: student Date: Thu, 08 Sep 2005 Blah.
